Fortified Rice Kernels - Production Process

A quality-first process with traceability at every step.

Step 1

Sourcing & Incoming Quality Assurance

We approve suppliers for rice flour (broken rice) and micronutrient premix (iron, folic acid, vitamin B12), sample, sieve, and log lots on receipt.

Step 2

Premix & Mixing

We weigh micronutrients on calibrated scales, blend, then mix into rice flour; add water to target moisture and condition.

Step 3

Extrusion & Forming

We cook under controlled temperature/pressure to form ideal rice-grain profile (stable kernel matrix) that protects nutrients.

Step 4

Multi-Stage Drying

We dry gently in stages with controlled airflow to minimize nutrient loss and stress cracks.

Step 5

Cooling & Tempering

We cool kernels and temper to equilibrate core moisture.

Step 6

Grading & Safety Checks

We sieve to remove fines/overs and brokens, then inspect to meet food-safety and cleanliness specs.

Step 7

QC Release

We assay nutrients (Fe, FA, B12), moisture, bulk density, length/shape, and microbiology, approve or reject against specification, and retain samples.

Step 8

Packing & Traceability

We pack in food-grade bags, add batch details and maintain full traceability.

Storage & Dispatch
